CONFESS RIGHTLY.
(What’s Your Daily Confession?)
TO THE BIBLE Psalm 91:2 NIV
“I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
LET’S TALK
Sometimes in life, we see some unpleasant events occurring with those weeks deem very “good,” and then wonder, “If that could happen to So-and-so, who am I to expect any better?” We fail to realise that the things that happen to people is as a result of their daily confession—whether right or wrong—and not their behaviour . If your confessions are wrong, then things will definitely go wrong in the long run.
The opening scripture expresses the inspired words of the psalmist: “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”” This was his daily confession, and it’s got to become your confession as well. Declare that the Lord is your Refuge and your Fortress, your God, on whom you lean and rely, and in whom you confidently trust! Let this be your confession and contemplation daily; personalise it!
Always remember that your confessions rule you. The Bible says, “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth” (Proverbs 6:2). Notice it didn’t say you’re snared by your enemies or by the wickedness in the world. Rather He says, “You are snared by the words of your mouth….” So, keep declaring what the Word says about you. He’s your safety, and your strength. Walk through life with confidence, and refuse to fear! No matter what you face, or who chooses to plot against you, know that you’re divinely protected, for greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world!
