BE DEFINITE ABOUT THE TRUTH.
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed (Luke 1:3-4).
The things we believe in Christianity aren’t assumptions; they’re clear-cut, absolute truths. And the more we study the Scriptures, the more definite we are about the certainty of those things. The Bible says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2
Timothy 2:15).
Timothy 2:15).
God’s Word is truth, the only truth. There’re no other truths outside the Bible. God gave us the Scriptures to study as our foundation and truth to believe and live by. Therefore, the Word is all we should accept, and most surely believe. Luke 1:1 says, “Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us .”
You won’t be able to live the Christian life to the fullest until you’re thoroughly convinced that there’re no alternatives to God’s Word. You must be decisively convinced that the Word is true, irrespective of how you feel or the circumstances around you. This is important, because you can’t make any meaningful impact with the Gospel, until you’re definite about what you believe.
The Apostles didn’t give room in the early church for people to be tossed here and there; they wanted everyone to be certain, to be clear, about the truth, to believe completely, and be passionate about the Gospel. Don’t have questions in your mind against the truth; don’t waver because of trials and persecutions.
Whenever you study the Word, or hear the Word preached and taught, open your heart to receive it. Let it get a hold of your spirit, and be steadfast and unmovable, fruitful and productive in every good work. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, your Word is my life, and the foundation of my success, joy, prosperity, and victories. I stand fast in the faith, knowing the certainty of those things wherein I’ve been instructed. I accept, and live by your Word, and as a result, your glory is manifested in all that I do! Thank you for strengthening my faith in the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
