1 Timothy 4:1-5
1-5 The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth. They will tell you not to get married.They’ll tell you not to eat this or that food—perfectly good food God created to be eaten heartily and with thanksgiving by believers who know better! Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out. God’s Word and our prayers make every item in creation holy.
When I meditated on this scripture this morning as I read my daily devotional guide ( Official Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional), I wanted to find out what are things God wants to communicate to His children in 1 Tim 4;15 which said: "Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all." After I read the passage above, I saw clearly that God wants us to focus on the days that we (the current generation) are in.
In a time that, the some leaders of the world are bent on promoting homosexuality (which is not to marry according to God's original plan), false religions and inter-faith agendas and so on springing up here and there, promoting the eating of only Genetically Modified Organisms etc, We (true Christians) have only one assignment , to preach the Gospel to all creature in all the Earth for the TIME OF THE LORD IS NEARER than EVER.
Mind you, it is not a threat but a happy tiding for those who truly believe and belong to God to be separated from the evil of this world and for theSUPREME RULER TO SET THINGS RIGHT. And it is also a motivation to us Christians to try and increase the harvest of the RIPE FIELD OF SOULS for the Master (Jesus Christ) who will thank all of us who have been faithful in winning souls, building them and sending them into their world of contact..... STICK TO THE WORD, and you will surely HAVE YOUR TESTIMONY
